COVID 19 Update April 6, 2020
Acoustic Technologies remains open to repair your hearing aids and provide you with supplies that you need for your hearing aids. Hearing Aid Audiology has been recognised as an essential service for the hard of hearing during the COVID 19 emergency. We are continuing to repair hearing aids during this time and return them to the users so they can continue to get the benefit that hearing aids provide.
What should I do if my hearing aids stops working:
- The first thing to do if you hearing aid stops working is to clean it. Daily cleaning keeps your hearing aid working well and makes sure that it is more reliable and will last you longer.
- If your hearing aid is clean then check the battery. Even if your battery is not due to be changed, it is worth a try.
- If neither of these have worked it might need to come in for repair so you should contact your hearing aid audiologist. They can advise you on what to do if your hearing aid is in need of repair.
Hearing Aid Audiology during the COVID 19 emergency:
Many hearing aid centres are operating strictly by appointment only. Please ring first as most are not operating for normal office hours. Many have phones diverted so that they can help you even if they are not physically in their office, and some have come up with new ways to service their customer base during the COVID 19 emergency.
